What is flipped classroom?

Under this, teachers record their lectures and post videos online, which students can access. Students watch these videos and study at home and when they come to class they are ready with that lecture. The next day, teachers in classrooms conduct activities related to the post lecture and students participate in it. If the concept is still not clear, then they can ask questions in class. This allows teachers to focus on the problem of every student.

Why is it needed

The main reason for adopting a flipped classroom is dissatisfactory performance by students due to mismatched teacher-student ratio. That is, more students and less teachers, which directly affect the result. The second reason is also that due to the whole time being given in lecture in class, student-teacher interaction is reduced considerably. The flipped classroom helps overcome this challenge.

How is this helpful?

Since lectures are not time bound, they can be viewed any number of times. Students who have good learning ability, this way saves their time. The next day, whatever the students study, they try to bring it into practice. Preparation in advance improves learning skills. Where it is being used A few years ago, this method started in the high schools of the west, it is now becoming famous worldwide. Indian B schools are increasingly using the flipped classroom.

Advantage

– Teachers are able to take more time to focus on each student and can also answer their questions.

– This gives the students a chance to revise the lecture.

– Through this, students can also study in groups and share their ideas with each other.

– Students are more self-reliant due to studies on their own responsibility.

– For some reason, students who are absent can also take advantage of it.

-Audio and visual things are captured in the brain more quickly and better, so it is easier to remember them.

Flipped Classroom transforms the traditional teaching style into a completely new and innovative concept that helps teachers to better teach and learn students easily. It is a type of active learning where students have different strategies to keep them busy.
